What is the Freeloader Project?
First off; thanks for visiting! FREELOADER PROJECT is all about sharing an eclectic mix of music visions. The PROJECT began in the summer of 2008 and is the culmination of a 35 year dream to put together and share a mix of predominantly original music. As a child, I became obsessed with reading novels; and as I look back now I realize why. A great story with no visuals allows one to create imagery – the heroes sprung from my own imagination and the backdrops were of my own design…it’s called imaginative engagement, allowing you to become an interactive part of the story telling process. I try to capture this spirit in the music as each song in a sense is a completed novel and only the listener should have the final thought. It almost seems that most music nowadays is watched and the imagery is provided for you, robbing you of the full experience of using your imagination to create an emotion, which is what good music is all about…evoking an emotion. Hope you enjoy the site and listen to the music. Take your time and please remember; you’re only limited by your own imagination…Rolly.

Rolly Piroutz
Creator of the Freeloader Project in August 2008 with the first recordings performed at Metalworks in Mississauga, Ontario. Rolly has toured Ontario and Quebec in the 70’s with the bands Max and Freeloader.

Karen Weir- Piroutz
Born in Toronto and apparently raised by wolves somewhere near the Danforth, Karen’s Hungarian background is likely to blame for her musical slant. She started working on the Freeloader Project in 2008 with the first recordings performed at Metalworks in Mississauga, Ontario.

Natasha Pearl Eli-Jean Piroutz
This teenage singer/songwriter wrote her first song at age 6 and continues composing and singing and also plays a mean axe.

Getting Ready To Launch! UPDATE
Busy times getting ready to officially launch the www.FREELOADERPROJECT.com website along with getting a series of singles loaded into CDBaby which in turn get the music onto iTunes. Looking at mid-May for the big splash. As well, back in the studio working on new material for the 2′nd album which includes a cover of a Grank Funk classic with..get ready..horns!! Plus currently following up on some You Tube advertising as a follow up to the launch for a new single (Feels So Wrong – Hellgirl’s Gone).

These Gildan ultra cotton shirts are silk screened and sure to please. Get ready for our next round as well, as everything from track jacks to ball caps will be introduced over the year.
