Busy times getting ready to officially launch the www.FREELOADERPROJECT.com website along with getting a series of singles loaded into CDBaby which in turn get the music onto iTunes. Looking at mid-May for the big splash. As well, back in the studio working on new material for the 2′nd album which includes a cover of a Grank Funk classic with..get ready..horns!!  Plus currently following up on some You Tube advertising as a follow up to the launch for a new single (Feels So Wrong – Hellgirl’s Gone).

Not only will we have the CD with 2 bonus tracks and a 16 page insert available for sale; we’re launching our shirts; white fitted tees for the chicks and a cool military green version for the guys available in all sizes.  These Gildan ultra cotton shirts are silk screened and sure to please.  Get ready for our next round as well, as everything from track jacks to ball caps will be introduced over the year.

The official website launch along with the new CD (Reclaimed) along with our online store is May 16, 2012!

I swore I’d try to avoid covers but this song is one of my all time favourites and I just became compelled to put together a version.  Unfortunately due to  mechanical licensing restrictions, you gotta pick up the CD to hear it!!

This song topped the Billboard Top 100 in November 1966 powered by the Supremes. A version (my favourite, by Vanilla Fudge) climbed the same chart a year later. If you listen closely you can pick up on what I call the STP “untouchable Plush chord.”

Back in the studio with Brian Hewson (owner of Escarpment Sound) this week working on a mix down on the 5′th song on the second CD…exciting times! Post production on the first CD (Reclaimed) will hopefully be completed over the next 3 weeks and will be launched in conjunction with the online store. Stay tuned! Also just secured rights to perform a Grand Funk Classic on the second CD!!

There is an underlying theme here whereby I’m attempting to convey my uncertainty in proceeding with a full time musical career…gotta love the tuba!
